Gap Year?

As I have stated before I will be finishing college within the next few weeks which I can not wait for! (Biggest smile on my face)

It's not that I don't like education it's just the way it's taught and how you are treated, a number rather then a person. This being the reason why I want to take a break from 'education' and explore what the world has to offer.

I thought the best way for me to continue learning and expanding my knowledge but at the same time have a break from the formal rules to learning would be to take a gap year where I go travelling.

The plan is to start in Europe in July for 22days. I'll be doing this with four of my friends and its kinda a warm up for the real adventure.

The places I'll be going are:
(Refer to 1st photo)

We will be staying in hostels and be living on a budget as I am the tightest person with my money and hate, absolutely hate seeing my bank balance go down, plus my friends have only just got a job and therefore don't have much saved up.

However what is the point in earning if your not gonna enjoy it??

We will be visiting the tourist hot spots in each city. (I'll photograph and blog nearer the time about what we get up to)

But the most exciting news is the real gap year, I plan on working from August to January none stop to enable me to go to Australia and maybe Thailand on the way back! All by my self!!

I want to go up the east coast of Australia on a working visa as this will top up my travelling budget. At the same time as taking sky-diving, learning to surf, outback reach and many more things.

This is why I think that I will continue to learn just not in the 'normal' way because learning does not only take place in a class room but actually going out there and doing things that is how you learn and enrich your knowledge and understanding.

This is not to say that I will not be going back to 'education' after my gap year as I would love to study business management/ human resource but its about finding out more than what someone can teach you from a book.

However until then I have two exams and a lot of coursework to finish so my motivation is my board (see 2nd photo).

Snap-Chat

I recently downloaded Snap-Chat on my IPhone after watching a friend pulling silly faces at her phone, at first I thought it would be one of those apps which I use once and then it sits there on my phone taking up storage space. However, I have found myself Snap-Chatting at least 20 times a day! YES 20 times a day, that is right!

I think this is because it is a way of expressing myself in either a picture lasting 10 seconds or a video. Then being able to edit the photo with text or drawing on the pictures to add to the maddest. It allows me to be as weird as I like without being judged because the person who receives a snap-chat from me has no evidence after viewing either the video or picture once, which is the best part of this app!

This is why I think not only me but many people send the weirdest pictures and videos which they would not normally even show a friend. From snap-chats in the bath gurgling water, to pulling my ugliest face. It's me being me and not having to care what other people think because the people I send these to know me and therefore I can express myself in anyway I want.

I strongly recommend you to download the app but remember who you are sending the video and pictures to, can you trust them?

Twins?

Over the next week I'll be writing posts about being a twin.

Some years ago during an episode of Eastenders I was born... this has come back to haunt me. However 21 minutes after I was born my twin sister was born she shall be known as Katie. From this moment on myself and Katie have shared our whole life together, we know everything about each other and probably know more about each of us then we would want to know.

We went to the same Nursery, Primary and Secondary school however was never allowed in the same class because we used to fight each other. At least we was fighting each other and know one else. (I'll come back to this in a later post) The only time we was allowed in the same class was ability groups such as Maths and Science it would of also been English however one of us was put in a higher ability class then the other, no names though ***cough cough***.
Away from the class room we used to hang out with each other and our friends but as we grow up we developed different sets of friends and therefore did not hang out with each other as much which leads me onto my question if we was not twins and instead only went to the same school would we still be friends or even have anything in common? Because everyone tells me that my twin will be with me forever but what if I was not a twin and was like the majority of the population who would I have with me forever?

To be continued...
